Projects
Project Title Description
ABS-RUBBER Production Line The most important development project of Jam Petrochemical and one of the Company’s key strategic objectives is the production of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), which will be constructed in Phase 2 of the Pars Special Economic Zone (Assaluyeh). According to this project, which is expected to be commissioned in 2018, an annual capacity of 200,000 tons of ABS and 36,000 tons of RUBBER will be produced. The primary application of ABS is in the production of electronic appliances, followed by automotive equipment and components. Since major ABS producers are located in East Asia, Iran’s proximity to the European market provides a competitive advantage for this product by reducing transportation costs and delivery time. Another competitive advantage of producing this product is the reduction in raw material production costs, as Iran is one of the major producers of naphtha and LPG and, consequently, a global producer of ABS feedstocks such as styrene and butadiene.
PDH/PP Project The execution of the PDH/PP project commenced in 2017, and an amount of IRR 984 billion—mainly related to licensing and engineering—was paid up to the end of the reported year. According to the resolutions of the Board of Directors, it was decided that the execution of the said project be transferred to the subsidiary company, Polymer Kangan. The project will be implemented through financing facilities.
