The Investment Company of the State Pension Fund, with National ID No. 10101154437, was established in 1988 in Tehran under the name "Civil Servants Subject to the State Employment Act" (Private Joint Stock Company). In 1999, its name and legal structure were changed to the "Investment Company of the State Pension Fund" (Public Joint Stock Company). The company was listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange in 2000. Its core activities focus on investments in projects and companies operating in the oil, gas, petrochemical, related raw materials, and energy sectors (water and electricity). Since late 2015, as an energy holding company, it has concentrated on creating greater value for shareholders across the energy value chain and related industries.
