Fanavaran Petrochemical Company was established as a Public Joint Stock Company on October 24, 1998, and was registered with the Tehran Companies Registration and Industrial Property Office.
The company was admitted to the Securities and Exchange Organization on January 30, 2008, and five percent of its shares were offered on the stock exchange.
The company’s head office is located in Tehran, while its production plant is situated in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone of Bandar Mahshahr.

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company is one of the olefin-based petrochemical units in Iran and, with a nominal capacity of one million tons of methanol, is recognized as the second-largest methanol producer in the country, after Zagros Petrochemical Company.

The principal subject of the Company’s activities includes the construction, commissioning, and operation of industrial plants for the purpose of producing, marketing, packaging, selling, and exporting petrochemical products, as well as the storage, import, export, and conversion of all petrochemical and chemical materials and their related by-products and derivatives, whether industrial or consumable.
This also includes carrying out all manufacturing and industrial, commercial, technical, and engineering activities that are directly or indirectly related to the aforementioned operations.
